ASTA/NJ Solo Strings Competition 2008 Division Winners
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 19 WHO WISH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ASTA NATIONAL SOLO COMPETITION!!!!
ASTA/NJ divides the Junior Level into three categories for the NJ state competition (Early Bird, Junior A & Junior B). ASTA National Solo Competition combines all students under the age of 19 (as of March 20, 2011) into ONE Junior Division. Please note that we may send winners from each of our three junior division categories to the National Competition BUT AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL, ALL STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 19 (as of March 20, 2011) COMPETE IN ONE JUNIOR DIVISION CATEGORY. Students under the age of 19 (as of March 20, 2011) who wish to continue on to the National Solo Competition must be certain that their repertoire selections conform to National requirements.

WINNERS OF THE ASTA/NJ SOLO STRING COMPETITION ANNOUNCED!
The 2009 ASTA/NJ Solo Strings Competition was held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Kean University. Forty-seven student performers participated in this event. Congratulations to all participants! Please join us for the winner’s concert on April 18, 2010 3pm at the Chase Auditorium of the Madison Public Library. Note: Honorable Mentions are in alphabetical order and do not indicate ranking.
