ASTA/NJ Chamber Music Institute 2010 Announced!
Kean University and ASTA/NJ proudly present the 6th Annual ASTA/NJ Chamber Music Institute at Kean University.
ASTA/NJ's Chamber Music Institute (ASTA/NJ CMI)- held on campus at Kean University in Union, NJ - is a residential chamber music performance program for students 8th grade through high school who play violin, viola, cello, double bass, classical guitar or harp.
ASTA/NJ CMI is held in two consecutive week-long sessions. Students may attend any one session or both.
- Session I of ASTA/NJ CMI is July 25-31, 2010. Featured Artists are the Kean University Concert Artist Ensemble & Jade Trio.
- Session II of ASTA/NJ CMI is August 1-7, 2010. Featured Artists are the Daedalus Quartet & JACK Quartet.
ASTA/NJ CMI affords students the opportunity to:
- Work with top performers and instructors to develop chamber music performance skills
- Participate in master classes, instrumental workshops, special reading sessions, free elective courses, and special presentations by top string educators.
- Enjoy performances by guest artists in Kean University’s stunning new recital hall, Enlow Hall.
- Perform in gala concert at the end of each session featuring student ensembles performing repertoire prepared during the previous week.
- Enjoy Kean University’s beautiful campus and brand new student residence hall.
