HOUSING UPDATE CMI 2012
Newly refurbished dormitories will be used to house 2012 CMI students!  These dorms are bigger than those used in the past couple of years, with a lounge attached to each suite of rooms large enough to rehearse in, full-sized refrigerators and microwaves! Click here to read about the newly refurbushed Burch/Bartlett/Rogers/Sozio halls (scroll down to find descriptions & floor plans).  Housing for 2012 CMI is something to look forward to.

Teacher: This form outlines some of the basic prerequisites for successful participation at the ASTA/NJ Chamber Music Institute.

Each day students spend up to two hours sight reading chamber music in groups. Please describe your student's sight reading abilities and quickness of learning. Give an example of a chamber music work that he/she might be able to play functionally on a first or second reading

Please describe your student's experience in chamber music. We are interested especially in the students's ability to be independent rhythmically, to add musical interpretations, and to get along well with others
